Restoring an iPhone from iTunes backup is really easy even though you rarely need to restore your device most of the time. But restoring iPhone could be inevitable sometimes when you need to sell you iPhone or when you want to make you device feel brand new. Once restored, everything including songs, videos, contacts, photos and calendar information etc. will be cleared off the device. If you are new to the process of restoring iPhone from iTunes, you can follow the steps in this article which shows you how to finish the process with ease.
Before you restore your device, you need to keep three things in mind:
1. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of iTunes.
2. Have backed up iPhone to iTunes previously.
3. Turn of Find My iPhone on your device: go to Settings>iCloud>turn off Find my iPhone.
Now you can follow the steps to restore you device!
Step 1: Connect iPhone to PC with the USB cable.
Step 2: Select you device when it is recognized by iTunes.
Step 3: Go to Summary panel, then click on “Restore iPhone…”.
Step 4: After that, you will be asked to make confirmation about your option. Click “Restore” again to confirm that you would like to restore you device to factory settings and delete all data and content. Then iTunes will automatically download the iOS software and restore your device.
Step 5: After your iPhone is restored to factory settings, it will restart automatically. Then you will see a popup says “Slide to set up” on the screen. You can follow the steps and when you are done, you can set up our iPhone as new or restore it from a previous backup.
