[Fix] iPad Stuck in Recovery Mode

Yesterday I tried to update my iPad 3 to iOS 8.3 via iTunes on my computer. But suddenly, it got stuck on recovery mode. Now my iPad 3 cannot be detected on iTunes. I’ve checked it in Windows device manager and I realized that my iPad driver is some kind of missing. I need some help here…

Step 1: Connect iPad to Mac or Windows

Download>install>run iPad Data Recovery on PC >connect iPad to PC. Then your iPad will be detected by the program.


Step 2: Go to “Recover from iOS Device”

When your iPad has been recognized, you can see the interface below. Then click on “Restart” to fix iPad stuck in recovery mode.

Method 2: Recover Data from iPad Directly


Step 1: Connect iPad to the computer via USB cable

When the program finishes scanning, all data will appear on the computer. You can choose what you need from specific categories and then click on “Recover” to save them on PC.

Method 3: Recover Data via iTunes Backup file


Note: Please make sure that you have synced your iPad to iTunes previously. And don’t launch iTunes when using this method. Only run the iPad Data Recovery on your computer.

Step 1: Select one iTunes backup file to start scan

Go to “Recover from iTunes Backup Files”>select on iTunes backup from the give lists>click on “Start Scan”.

Step 2: Scan and preview iPad data

Scanning the data will require no more than one minute. When it is completed, you will see different categories of data including remained files and deleted files are listed with detailed information. You can go to the specific category to preview the content inside. For example, if you want to preview contacts, then go directly to “Contacts” then all files will be displayed to you.

Step 3: Recovery lost data from iTunes backup files

Choose the data you need from the backup files and then go to “Recover” button to save the lost photos, contacts, videos or calendar etc. on your computer.

Method 4: Recover Data from iCloud Backup File


Note: This method only works on condition that you have backed up your iPad data in iCloud before.

Step 1: Log in iCloud account

Choose “Recover from iCloud Backup File”> sign in iCloud account with Apple ID and password.

Step 2: Download iCloud backup files

After you sign in iCloud account, all previous backup files will automatically display on the computer. Choose one backup file then click on “Download”, and please wait for 3-5 minutes until the downloading process is finished.

Step 3: Preview and retrieve lost data from iCloud backup files

After you download the backup files, the program will start to scan it. After that, you can preview any data you like selectively by clicking on the specific categories. And finally go to “Recover” to save them on your computer.
